Worship:  Sunday mornings, 9:30am

For the Praise of God

Trinity has been sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving Bogota and the surrounding communities for over 100 years!  Our congregation is open and welcoming to the community and ready to share God's love with everyone.

We worship together on Sundays at 9:30am and Holy Communion is celebrated weekly.  We also livestream worship on Zoom for those who cannot join us in-person.   Links for zoom are sent out each week by our secretary.  If you would like to receive a zoom link, contact secretary@tlcbogota.com.

We are made up of believers young, old and everywhere in between. We cherish our traditions and delight in newness. Together, with all of our differences, our unique gifts, our questions, our stories of triumph and failure, joy and sorrow, we are the body of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whatever your story, whatever your age, race, sexual orientation or gender identity, there is a place for you at Trinity. We invite you to join us in following Jesus and witnessing in word and deed to his life-giving reign of love.

We are associated with the New Jersey Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

Life in Community

loving God, loving neighbor

  • Worship

Jesus tells us that where two or three are gathered together, he is in their midst.  Worshipping God is our central communal act as Christians.  At Trinity we meet on Sunday mornings to praise God, hear God's word and receive the gift of Jesus himself in Holy Communion.  Our worship is considered "traditional," meaning the organ is our primary instrument.

  • Learning

The word "disciple" means "student."  As disciples of Jesus we are called to a lifetime of learning.  We have a wonderful preschool that serves the larger community (see our preschool page above or brief description below), Sunday School classes for preschool through 6th grade, confirmation classes for grades 7-8 and regular Bible Study for adults.

  • service

Jesus tells us the Commandments are summed up like this - love God and love neighbor.  At Trinity we are active in serving God and our neighbors through weekly food collections, monthly deliveries with Meals On Wheels, seasonal projects at Thanksgiving and Christmas and in financial support of the NJ Synod and Lutheran Disaster Response.

Trinity Lutheran School

One of the joyous missions of our congregation is our preschool.  Trinity Lutheran School has been loving and preparing children for success since 1982.  We have private classes in which we are happy to share the gospel with our children.  In addition, we participate in Universal Pre-K (UPK) which follows the guidelines of the Bogota Board of Education and the NJ Department of Education.  We also offer after-care for children in both programs for parents who need a longer school day.  See our preschool's page above for more detailed information!
